In the Fall of 2024 Fernando A. Mico was selected to join the Journey of Hope Team to cycle across country, raising awareness and funds for the disabled.
Two teams of 30 men from Pi Kappa Phi Fraternity's philanthropy, The Ability Experience, will begin their journey in Summer 2025. They start in the cities of Seattle and San Francisco, and finish together at the Capitol Lawn in Washington, D.C. Along the way, they will meet with organizations supporting people with disabilities.

Along with the help of the Journey of Hope Team (Teammates, Crew, & Staff), supporters, and brothers, I’ll have one extra partner. In 2021 my four-footed sidekick LUCKY & me, drove across country from the steps of my home in Northern Virginia to the surf of Malibu, California, and back again. The trek was a genuine adventure! In 2023 my guy unexpectedly passed.
